Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech on peace on 22 April 2022.
In his speech, the Senior General urged leaders and two members from each ethnic armed organization to join the talks in order to restore peace and cease armed conflicts across the nation in 2022, as ethnic people have not enjoyed the essence of Independence within 75 years after Myanmar had regained Independence.
As the exhortation of the Senior General was an offer to grant the restoration of genuine and long-term existence of peace to the ethnic people aspire to, various organizations including 23 political parties expressed their support for the speech, respectively.
