Myanmar wins gold in Wushu, bronze in soccer in 20th ASEAN University Games 2022

With the 20th ASEAN University Games being held in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand since 26 July, Myat Noe Eain from Myanmar won the gold medal in the Wushu competition at the Sunee Tower yesterday morning.
There were four events in the Wushu tourney and Myat Noe Eain from Myanmar won the gold medal at the Women’s Taijiquan event with a 9.65 score. Malaysia got silver and Indonesia bronze, respectively.
Myat Noe Eain, who secured the gold medal for the first time for Myanmar, is a fourth-year (History) majoring student at Mandalar University and the Myanmar Wushu team is continuously participating in four events of the Wushu competition.
In the third-place match of the ASEAN University Football Tournament played at 3:00 pm yesterday (local time) at the Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University UBRU Happiness Stadium, the Myanmar University Football Team took on the Lao University Football Team.
The result was a scoreless draw at the end of the 90 minutes and the match went to a penalty shootout. Maung Khaing Ye Win, Maung Nyi Nyi, Maung Than Myat Soe and Maung Soe Thura scored penalty goals and won the bronze medal with a 4-3 win. — MNA
