Two of the keener gem merchants are seen evaluating the jade on the sixth day of the 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium in Nay Pyi Taw on 24 October 2022.

The sixth day of the 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium continued at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Since morning, the hall was crowded with local and foreign gem merchants who observed jade lots and uncut jade lots, which were displayed at the specified places inside and outside the hall.
Jade lots (from No 751 to No 1,500) on sale were evaluated by gem dealers. Then, the merchants put their bids into tender boxes.
Afterwards, officials checked the bids and announced that 652 jade lots were sold.
The remaining jade lots (from No 1,501 to No 2,100) will be sold to local and foreign gem traders through an open tender system on the last day of the emporium.
The emporium has been a success with the sale of 362 pearl lots, 55 gem lots and 665 jade lots. The merchants can view the rest of the jade lots on 25 October as well.
The floor price for jade lots on sale is mentioned in Euro currency. Foreign gem dealers can make a payment in USD, Euro, Yuan and Baht currencies while locals can pay in Kyat currency. — MNA
