Ceremony to commission graduates of 9th Intake of Female Cadet Course (Hmawby) held

The ceremony to commission graduates of the 9th Intake of Female Cadet Course of the Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School (Hmawby) took place at the Myawady Hall of the training school yesterday morning.
Military Appointment-General Lt-Gen Lin Aung of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commandant of the Defence Services (Army) Officers Training School (Hmawby) Brig-Gen Min Min Soe and graduate cadets attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Military Appointment-General Lt-Gen Lin Aung presented certificates of appointment as commissioned officers to female graduate cadets and then delivered a speech.
Female graduate cadets were appointed to the rank of second lieutenant at the ceremony. The training school (Hmawby) has been conducting the officer training course for female graduates since 2014 for turning out qualified staff officers for Tatmadaw. So far, the school has conducted nine intakes for female graduates. Female graduate officers will be assigned to the respective corps of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air). — MNA/MKKS
