Union Minister U Than Swe holds talks with members of the MISIS boards yesterday in Yangon.

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe delivered the speech at the meeting with the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS), which was held at the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies’ Meeting Room in Yangon yesterday.
In his opening remarks, the Union minister explained the implementation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the Road Map and the objectives defined by the State Administrative Council and, discussed the current international affairs. He also shared information on cooperation with the regional organizations and international communities on natural disaster relief for the people of Cyclone Mocha-affected areas.
Then, the Boards’ members of the MISIS reported to the Union Minister on the current activities undertaken by the Institute and briefed on academic-related matters from the scholar’s perspectives. Based upon their discussions, the Union minister provided the necessary guidance for the future activities of the Institute.
Present at the meeting were the members of the Senior Advisory Board and the Executive Board of MISIS, the directors-general and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — MNA
