Russian Chief Justice-led delegation visits Maravijaya Buddha image, Uppatasanti pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw

The Russian delegation led by Mr Vyacheslav Lebedev, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, arrived at Nay Pyi Taw on the morning of 23 July to pay a goodwill visit.
Russian chief justice-led delegation visited the Maravijaya Buddha image in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw on the same afternoon and also observed religious buildings and stone plaque chambers on which circular stupas were built.
The delegation also visited Nay Pyi Taw Uppatasanti pagoda on 24 July and the Chief Justice signed the visitors’ book of the pagoda and made cash donations.
They then headed to the white elephant shed in the precinct of the pagoda and fed the white elephants.
Moreover, the delegation paid a visit to Myanmar Gems Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) on 25 July and observed the displayed jade and pearl pieces of jewellery and natural resources. — MNA/KTZH
