Trees downed by rain and strong winds in Yangon, other regions and states

Including Yangon Region, trees fell due to rain with strong winds in regions and states, and Myanmar Fire Brigade members have been carrying out clean-up operations.
On 25 May, a tree fell over the bund of the main canal of Mezali Diversion Weir in Magway Region’s Pwintbyu Township at around 1:35 pm and another similar accident occurred at 1:00 pm in No 1 ward in Shan State’s Lashio Township, therefore respective township fire brigade members provided clearing.
On the same day, a tree fell in Ayeyawady Region’s Pathein Township due to heavy rain and strong winds and another similar accident happened at Minpine ward, Wakema Township in the region at around 9:10 am. The respective township fire brigade members cleared debris.
On 24 May, in Yangon Region, a tree fell inside No 4 High School campus at Natmauk ward in Tamway Township at 1:00 pm and two similar accidents broke out at 2:45 pm in ward 20 in Dagon Myothit (South) and in Satsan ward in Mingala Taungnyunt Township at 6:39 am. Therefore respective township fire brigade members carried out clearance works.
Similar accidents also happened in some wards of Magway and Ayeyawady regions, and respective township fire brigade members cleared debris, according to Myanmar Fire Brigade’s statement. — MT/ZS/ED
