Sri Lankan Ambassador calls on MoH Union Minister

Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar Mr J M J P Bandara, who had completed his tour of duties in Myanmar, at the Union Minister’s office yesterday.
The ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar thanked the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health for providing US$1.5 million worth of medicines and medical supplies to Sri Lanka during its time of need. He also expressed his gratitude to all the people of Myanmar.
Both sides exchanged views on the promotion of cooperation in the health sector between the two countries, especially in the public health sector and the traditional medicine sector, further cooperation in the private health sector, mutual exchange of knowledge and experiences in health sciences, and continued collaboration in the future. — MNA/TS
