The third-day group match of the 2024 Myanmar National League Cup continued yesterday with the winning streaks of the Maha and Kachin United football clubs.
Maha United beat GFA FC 3-0 at the University Stadium in Yangon yesterday. With the two-straight win, Maha is still putting pressure on the former champion Yangon United.
Team Maha used key players and scored the leading goal in 15 minutes, which was netted by Captain Toe Satt Naing. Next, the second goal was scored by Nay Lin Soe at 76 minutes and Thet Naing at 90+2 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kachin United celebrated a 2-1 win over Rakhine United at Padonma Stadium in Yangon. The Rakhine team has made a lot of pre-season preparations and recruited foreign players and famous local players. However, they unexpectedly lost and will have to struggle to advance to the next level.
Zaw Lin Oo created the winning goals for Kachin United at 35 minutes and Kyaw Zin Oo at 45+1 minutes. Trauray produced the single or consolation goal for Rakhine United via a penalty shootout.
