SAC Chair PM’s wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attends 20th anniversary of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister and Honorary Patron of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation (MWAF), attended the 20th anniversary of MWAF, which was held in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the event, Chairman of the Myanmar Women’s Committee Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win expressed gratitude to the members of MWAF for active participation in women empowerment activities.
He also highlighted the strengthening of women’s participation in addition to women’s organizations under the MWAF in implementing the women empowerment policies and mechanisms, as well as in the prevention of violence against women and young girls, resilience to natural disasters, and gender equality.
Afterwards, Honorary Patron Daw Kyu Kyu Hla presented good volunteer awards to members of Mon State, Bago Region, Mandalay Region and Shan State women’s affairs committees with over 20 years of service.
Moreover, Honorary Patron Daw Khin Thet Htay, Union Minister Dr Soe Win, and patrons and the MWAF chairperson presented good volunteer awards to chairpersons and secretaries of the region and state women’s committees, including Nay Pyi Taw.
Finally, attendees posed for a group documentary photo and observed the recorded photos displayed at the event.
Then, MWAF Chair Dr Thet Thet Zin gave a speech at the 20th annual meeting of MWAF.
