DPM Union MoTC Minister attends MMMC Cadet Course graduation event

SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Transport & Communications Minister General Mya Tun Oo addresses the graduation ceremony of the Myanmar Mercantile Marine College Cadet Course No 15 yesterday.

The Myanmar Mercantile Marine College Cadet Course No 15 graduation ceremony was held yesterday at Myanmar Mercantile Marine College in Kamayut, Yangon.
The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, Yangon Region Government Chief Minister U Soe Thein, the MoTC deputy minister, Yangon Region government ministers, the Yangon mayor, heads of departments under the ministry, guests and officials and parents of graduating cadets.
The Deputy Prime Minister first inspected the graduation company and took the salute of the marching companies. He then presented awards to outstanding cadets.
Afterwards, General Mya Tun Oo met six outstanding cadets and their parents and took the documentary photos with guests, officials and graduating cadets.
A total of 179 cadet trainees – 90 marine officers, 80 marine engineers, and nine marine electrical engineers – attended the Diploma Course No 15.
From its opening in 1963 to date, MMMC has produced 87,415 marine officers, 29,107 engineer officers and other ranks, with 155,506 trainees being and 277,695 field experts being nurtured. — MNA/TS
