Ammunition, over K15.1 bln worth of drugs seized in Kengtung

Ammunition and 175 kilogrammes of heroin, 1,502 kilogrammes of Ice and 55 kilogrammes of ketamine valued at over K15.1 billion were seized in Kengtung Township of Shan State (East), as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
Following a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, searched a Toyota Hilux REVO vehicle near Nakaw 3 village on Kengtung-Monghsat road in Kengtung township at 12 pm on 22 January. Police Force seized 500 blocks of heroin (175 kilogrammes), 1,502 kilogrammes of Ice (methamphetamine), 55 kilogrammes of ketamine valued at over K15.1 billion and arms and ammunition that Ah Saw and Ah Kaw carried.
Legal action has been taken against the offenders, and an investigation is underway to identify others involved in the criminal chain. — MNA/MKKS
