Appointment of Pakistani Ambassador agreed on

The Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has agreed to the appointment of Mr Imran Haider as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Mr Imran Haider was born on 20 June 1969 in Lahore, Pakistan. He studied at Government College, Lahore, Pakistan, from 1985 to 1987 and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Government College, Lahore, Pakistan in 1989, a Master of English Language and Literature from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 1992 and a Master of Human Rights from Curtin University, Perth, Australia in 2009.
He served as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax from 1995 to 1996. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan in 1996 and has held various diplomatic capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Pakistan Mission to the United Nations in New York, the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the High Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi, India, the Embassy of Pakistan in Madrid, Spain, the Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran, Iran. He served as the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Republic of Tajikistan from 2019 to 2023.
Mr. Imran Haider has been serving as Director-General at the Central Asian Republics (CARs) and Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan since April 2023.
He is married with two children. — MNA
