ASEAN students arrive in Nay Pyi Taw to join 10thASEAN Quiz-Regional Level

The students, administrators from ASEAN member states and representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat arrived at the Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw from Yangon to take part in the 10th ASEAN Quiz-Regional Level to be held at MICC-II in Nay Pyi Taw on 14 December.
The 30-member group was welcomed by MRTV officials under the Ministry of Information.
The rehearsal of ASEAN students will be on 13 December at MICC-II and they will compete in the 10th ASEAN Quiz-Regional Level on 14 November morning.
The ASEAN countries selected first, second and third prize winners between the age of 15-18 by holding the quiz at different levels to represent the countries at the 10th ASEAN Quiz-Regional Level.
The ASEAN countries host the quiz once every two years. The first to eighth events were conducted as physical events and the ninth event held in Singapore in 2020 was an online event due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
This year, Myanmar will host the hybrid event and a total of 18 students – three each from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Viet Nam – will participate in person and the students from Brunei, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand will join online.
The event will be organized in a computerized quiz system using the Quiz 360 software. The event preparation, entertaining programmes, installation of video cameras, technical arrangements, networking and Quiz 360 software test were conducted at MICC-2 Nay Pyi Taw starting 10 December. — MNA/KTZH
