Aiming to raise the standard of sports and bring out the next generation of athletes, the final bouts of the 49th Inter-State and Region Lethwei Tournament were held at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon, attended by SAC members and officials.
The final fights of men’s 48, 51, 57, 63.5, 71 and 80-kilogramme categories under the No 6 bouts were held followed by women’s bouts of 46, 57 and 63-kilo categories.
An awarding ceremony was held after the final games and fighters with various weight classes were awarded by SAC members, Union ministers and officials. — MNA/KZL
