The contest will be held to commemorate the 76th Independence Day, which falls on 4 January 2024. According to the Department of Information and Public Relations, invitations are extended to participate in the competition with photos that depict the essence of independence, such as the country’s development, peace, stability, the beauty of ethnic tradition, cultural heritage, and landmarks, places, and people that are prominent in the struggle for independence.
An official from the department stated that it must be a colour photo taken in Myanmar with any type of camera. The size of the image must only be 10 and 15 inches, and there is no limit to the number of contestant photos.
