Biometric fingerprint system for Chinese Visas exempted for nearly 5 months

For the convenience of foreigners applying for Chinese visas, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar issued a notification on the evening of 8 August, allowing them to be exempted from the biometric fingerprint system for almost five months.
To facilitate the application of Chinese visas by foreigners, the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar stated that fingerprinting will be waived for business visas (M) that meet the requirements, tourist visas (L), visiting relatives visas (Q), transit visas (G); vehicle staff visas (C) from 9 August 2023 to 31 December 2023.
According to the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and international traffic regulations, visa application by biometric fingerprint system was implemented on 28 November 2022.
Those who wish to apply for a Chinese visa must fill out the online application form and make an appointment in advance, along with the necessary documents, and submit the application in person at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar (Yangon) on the appointed day.
