CBM launches Learning and Training Centre

The Central Bank of Myanmar inaugurated its Learning and Training Centre in Yangon yesterday.
The opening ceremony was attended by CBM Governor U Than Nyein, Deputy Governor Daw Than Than Swe, Yangon Region Economic Affairs Minister U Aung Than Oo and other relevant officials of the banking sector and the Ministry of Planning and Finance.
First, CBM Deputy Governor Daw Than Than Swe cut the ribbon to open the building together with other officials and the CBM Governor pressed the button to launch the centre.
Then, the attendees to the event viewed round the Learning and Training Centre.
Afterwards, the CBM Governor delivered an opening speech and the CBM Deputy Governor explained the establishment of the centre.
The centre was developed under the Myanmar Financial Sector Development Project of the World Bank implemented between 27 June 2017 and 31 December 2022. It aims to conduct local/foreign courses to improve the capacity of CBM staff officers, seminars and workshops and other kinds of training to be conducted by the banking experts with international-standard learning equipment for staff officers/employees to be more skilful in their works and subjects. — MNA
