Central Committee on Copyright meeting 1/2024 held

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo participated in the Central Committee on Copyright meeting held yesterday afternoon at the conference hall of the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw, where he, serving as Chairman, delivered an address.
The gathering saw the presence of Central Committee Vice-Chairman Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn, along with deputy ministers, directors-general, departmental officials, copyright experts, and representatives from various associations attending via videoconference.
In his opening speech, General Mya Tun Oo highlighted the importance of copyright protection. Vice-Chairman Union Minister U Tun Ohn further elaborated on the ongoing development of the copyright system and outlined the forthcoming processes.
Deputy Minister U Min Min, acting as Secretary of the Committee, provided an update on the implementation status of resolutions from the previous meeting.
Subsequently, Central Committee Joint Secretary Director-General Dr Moe Moe Thwae presented the orders submitted for discussion during the meeting.
The members of the Central Committee, including Deputy Ministers Dr Wah Wah Maung, U Ye Tint, Dr Aung Gyi, U Yin Maung Nyunt, Dr Zaw Myint, and Dr Aung Zeya, along with officials, briefed the audience on copyright-related activities within their respective ministries.
Following these briefings, Deputy Prime Minister General Mya Tun Oo led discussions, coordinated actions, and endorsed the draft resolution for the Central Committee on Copyright meeting 1/2024.
