Chairman of State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party visit ship-building workshop of JSC Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky

The delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Military Attaché Commodore Kyaw Soe Moe and officials, visited the ship-building workshop of JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky” in Kazan City of the Republic of the Tatarstan yesterday afternoon.
At the workshop, Acting Managing Director Mr Alexander Emelyushin and officials of the ship-building workshop of JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky” explained a brief history of the workshop and the progress of building the ships. The Senior General and party asked for further information and viewed the work procedures of building the ships.

The ship-building workshop of JSC “Zelenodolsk Plant named after AM Gorky”, 125 years old, is standing tall as a successful company. It creates the designs of ships to be used in any seasons and build the various types of ships by applying modern technologies. The workshop also carries out the manufacturing of machinery to be used in the marine sector and necessary equipment for the oil and natural gas services in addition to the ship-building tasks. Moreover, the Titanium Foundry of the company is one of the largest plants in Europe, manufacturing necessary parts for ship-building, aircraft-building and oil and natural gas operations. The company built more than 1,500 ships, some 600 of which were war vessels. These ships are sold to foreign countries.—MNA
