China says payments via border to Myanmar amount to more than 190 billion Yuan

The Chinese Embassy in Myanmar announced on 12 October that the amount of payments to Myanmar through the Chinese border in Yuan has reached more than 190 billion yuan.
Yunnan Province’s cross-border payments in Yuan to neighbouring countries exceeded 700 billion yuan.
As of August 2022, the Chinese Embassy stated that the number of payments calculated in Yuan across the border with Myanmar amounted to Yuan 190.293 billion.
Myanmar started the direct exchange of Kyat and Yuan through the border at the end of 2021.
As of the end of August 2022, China’s Yunnan Province has conducted cross-border transactions in Yuan with 106 countries and regions. – TPT/GNLM
