Chinese foundation donates sports equipment to schools in Myanmar

The China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) and Myanmar Chinese Cooperation and Communication Centre donated sports equipment to five basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday as part of the “Silk Road People to People Connectivity Care for the Future” programme.
During the donation event, Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Myint Soe said that the donation of sports equipment and stationaries to the basic education schools by the CFPD is beneficial for the students and also a supportive measure to develop the five essential capacities, especially for physical growth. He then expressed gratitude to CFPD for the donation and pledged to use the materials effectively.
CFPD Myanmar office’s in-charge Mr Wang Lei, explained the donation, and the Senior President of Myanmar Chinese Cooperation and Communication Centre and Chairman of Myanmar Wushu Federation U Thitsa (aka) Mr Li Bo Bo handed over the sports equipment and Swemyo Pauk-Phaw magazines to the relevant officials.
Dr Soe Myint Tun, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Basic Education, gave certificates of honour to the donors in return. — MNA/KTZH
