Chinese, Thai Ambassadors call on DPM MoFA Union Minister

Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe receives the Chinese ambassador yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, on 25 January 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and expansion of cooperation between Myanmar and China, continued implementation of Myanmar-China bilateral projects, maintenance of peace and stability along the border areas between Myanmar and China as well as closer collaboration under the regional and multilateral frameworks.
Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides discussed peace and stability in the border region, including enhancing bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Myanmar and Thailand.
Present at the courtesy call were senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and First Secretary Ms Pym Chaiyasan from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand. — MNA
