Commerce Ministry holds meeting to seek GACC pact for black cardamom

Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization under the Ministry of Commerce held a hybrid meeting on 6 May with the participation of stakeholders concerned to seek an agreement with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China to penetrate China’s market.
The officials of the departments concerned, Myanmar commercial attaches from Beijing and Kunming, the secretary of the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association, exporters of black cardamom and representatives of some companies attended the hybrid meeting.
The meeting highlighted procedures for Myanmar’s black cardamom to register with the GACC, rules and regulations, listing Myanmar’s agricultural produce on the GACC registration, and further activities of the associations.
The attendees also put forward ideas to register with the GACC, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization. — NN/KK
