Coord meeting on Youths and Literary Arts Festival held to mark Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn presided over a coordination meeting to hold the Youth and Literary Arts Festival to mark Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 yesterday.
The Youths and Literary Arts Festival will be held from 26 to 28 December at Myanmar International Convention Centre-II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw.
The festival intends to encourage students to read books and journals, know the benefits of literature, uplift patriotic spirit and dignity through arts with the knowledge of the history of independence and to know peace, stability and development of the country including the lovely culture of rural regions and to love their regions and states via photo contests and to understand activities of ministries concerned clearly through the booths.
Speaking at the meeting, the Union minister said the Youths and Literary Arts Festival is one of the programmes to mark Diamond Jubilee Independence Day. The festival marking Diamond Jubilee Union Day was held at Wunna Theikdi Stadium last year. This year, the name is changed to the Youths and Literary Arts Festival to be a unique one and will be a State-level event. It will prioritize youth-related matters, health, social, education, literature and other proper subjects. Moreover, it will include fun games for children and officials will make efforts to organize the festival in its full essence.
Then, the deputy minister, the permanent secretary and relevant officials presented ongoing activities for young people, booths and arrangements to hold the festival successfully.
The Union minister coordinated the presentations and gave concluding remarks.
The Youths and Literary Arts Festival in marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day will include booths featuring books, journals, book shops, photos of 20th-century writers, displays of literature, photos and movie sections and exhibits of the ministries concerned. — MNA
