COVID-19 vaccines arrives at Myeik Airport for Myeik District

A Tatmadaw Aircraft carrying Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines to be given for public and Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines for school children landed at Myeik Airport yesterday as COVID-19 vaccines are being distributed in Myeik District, Taninthayi Region.
A total of 82,525 doses of Sinopharm vaccines for local people and 14,600 doses of Sinovac vaccines for school children and 17,000 pieces of syringes were handed over by the authorities at Myeik Airport, and received by Dr Yin Yin Nwe, Deputy Head of District Public Health Department, and distributed to townships in the district.
In Myeik District, a total of 80,266 people have been fully vaccinated Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines twice, and a total of 42,997 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 once.
COVID vaccine Sinovac has been given to 16,385 students for the first time, officials said.
According to the Department of Public Health, the new vaccines will be given to the local people as a matter of priority.—Khaing Htoo (Myeik IPRD)/GNLM
