Daily imports of anti-COVID-19 products continue

Large cargo trucks carrying loads of medical supplies are rolling on the roads leading to respective destinations.

The Ministry of Commerce arranges to import the essential medical supplies for the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities through aviation, waterway and border trade camps without delay on a daily basis.
Yesterday, anti-COVID-19 products were imported by five companies using seven vehicles.
A total of 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen carried by one bowser, and 57 tonnes of masks were imported via Chinshwehaw and Myawady border trade posts.
One oxygen bowser led to Yangon via Myawady trading post, officials said.
Officials from the relevant departments are cooperating to facilitate and expedite the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the import process.
It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce is coordinating with relevant departments, treatment of COVID-19, as well as contact persons for inquiries can be reached through the Ministry’s Website—www.commerce.gov.mm.—MNA
