Dala constantly offers COVID-19 vaccine shots to student aged over 12

Authorities from Dala township, Yangon region have been administering COVID-19 vaccine shots to middle and high school students aged above 12 on 18 October 2021 at 9 am in four locations.
The vaccination programme is being carried to cut the spread of COVID-19 infections.
The four designated places are No 1 basic high school in Myoma ward 4, No 13 basic middle school in West Ann Gyi ward, No 6 basic middle school in Targyi ward and basic education high school in Pyawbwegyi Sanpya village.
The COVID-19 vaccination for students is being carried out under the guidance of the township administration, with the assistant of the officials from the township public health department, the township education department, township security force, township department, township red cross society and the respective ward and village administrators.
Vaccines were given systematically by the physicians, and only those with normal health conditions are vaccinated.
There are a total of 81 schools in Dala township including 76 middle and high schools, three monastery schools, two private schools. There are also six private elementary schools and two private middle schools.
There are a total of 4,982 students aged 12 and above in the 2021-22 academic year. On 17 October, about 946 students has been vaccinated for the first time. The vaccination programme will be incessantly carried out for the remaining students in Dala township, according to the township COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee.
