The 24th Convocation of the Defence Services Medical Academy in progress yesterday in Yangon.

The convocation of the 24th intake of the Defence Services Medical Academy (DSMA) was held at the DSMA convocation hall yesterday.
Acting Commandant Brig-Gen Zaw Marn Phyo, Rector Brig-Gen Khin Aung Tun, and faculty members attended the ceremony. The convocation ceremony began with the National Anthem. Subsequently, the rector announced the commencement of the convocation and led the graduates in pledging to abide by the code of conduct.
Following this, the rector presented certificates to the graduate cadets, allowing them to wear academic regalia corresponding to their degrees, and signed the convocation record book. After the acting commandant delivered the convocation speech, the ceremony concluded.
The honours and academic awards conferred upon these cadets were determined through an assessment process involving the rector, professors, and department heads of the DSMA, along with rectors, professors, and examiners from medical universities nationwide.
DSMA’s curriculum is aligned with other medical universities, ensuring that credit and distinction align with the broader medical curriculum. — MNA/NT
