DPM MoFA Union Minister receives ICRC Resident Representative, UNHCR Representative in Myanmar

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Ms Elena Ajmone Sessera, Resident Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
They exchanged views on matters related to ICRC’s activities, including providing humanitarian assistance in Myanmar.
Also present at the meeting were senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr Christophe Ami Leon Taramarcaz, Deputy Resident Representative of ICRC.
Moreover, U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, received Ms Noriko Takagi, UNHCR Representative in Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
They exchanged views on UNHCR’s ongoing activities in Myanmar and ways and means for further cooperation between the Government of Myanmar and the UNHCR.
Senior Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials were also present at the meeting. — MNA
