Drug seized in some townships across Myanmar

Drugs were seized in Myeik, Mingaladon, Kalaw, Kengtung and Tachilek townships, the Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Thaninthayi Region Police Force examined Ma Yi Cho (aka) Larmazanmi, Zin Min Aung (aka) Nge Nge and Ma Ei Phyo Wai (aka) Kaung Ma Nge at Myoma 1 ward, Myeik Township at 6:30 pm on 23 September. The officials found 8,000 stimulant tablets from them.
Similarly, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police found suspicious Tun Tun Phyo (aka) Ko Phyo at Mingaladon market, Zay ward in Mingaladon Township on the afternoon of 24 September. The team seized 2,000 stimulant tablets from him. A team consisting of members of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Police examined suspicious Ma Htwe near the Aungban-Shwenyaung railroad, Hleyoe ward in Aungban of Kalaw Township at 4 pm on the same day and they found 2,000 stimulant drugs from her.
On 24 September at 1:45 pm, a combined team consisting of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force examined suspicious Yaw Hla near Wamnwe village in Kengtung Township and they found 2,000 stimulant tablets from him.
A combined team searched a motorcycle driven by Tun Kyaw Aung (aka) Hmwe Ni at Sengsai B ward in Tachilek township on 24 September. the team found 10,000 stimulant tablets from him.
Those suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. —MNA
