Drugs seized in Myeik, Chaungzon townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force inspected a man named Kyaw Soe (alias) Yunut on Strand Road, Kangyi Ward, Myeik at 9 am on 8 February and 1 kg of Ice was confiscated during the investigations.
Next, a search of his tent in Marin Nge Phya village turned up 0.26 kilogram of ecstasy in Sandawut Village-tract, Myeik Township.
Similarly, a combined team consisting of members of the Mon State Police Force arrived in Bo Nak Village-tract, Chaungzon Township at 6 pm on the same day. A search of Thet Paing Oo (alias) Nge Nge’s house in Bo Nak village turned up 1,952 stimulant tablets and a homemade air gun.
They are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MNA
