Drugs seized in some townships across Myanmar

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Htun Myat Win (aka) Joker accompanied by Kyaw Yar Zar Min on Hpa-an-Eindu road in Hpa-an township at 3 pm on 14 November and seized 3,970 stimulant tablets.
At mid night on the same day, a combined team including the Anti-Drug Police Force examined a Hyundai passenger bus at the Padan (Pyinwa) Combined Checkpoint in Ngaphe township and found 200,000 stimulant tablets and K2.465 million.
In addition, at 11 am on the same day, the Police Force examined a Kinglong passenger bus at the Combined Checkpoint in Kywaltatson village in Thazi township and captured 11 kilogrammes of raw opium.
At 4 pm on 13 November, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a Toyota Supper Custom car driven by Sai Maung Htun (aka) Maung Htun at the tollgate of Nawnghkio township and captured 370,000 stimulant tablets.
Those arrested have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA
