Drugs seized in Tachilek and Nawnghkio townships

On 19 July, a joint team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house in Phanmin village, Tachilek township, which was rented by Chan Lon. The search took place at 11:30 am and resulted in the seizure of 338,000 stimulant tablets.
Additionally, on the same day at 8:30 am, another combined team intercepted a Landcruiser Prado vehicle driven by Sai Than Htwe Lay, accompanied by Kyaw Zay Ya (aka) Shwe Kuu, near Oriental Tollgate in Nawnghkio township. Following the search, the police confiscated 240,000 stimulant tablets along with K300,000 in cash.
As a result of these operations, the offenders are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA/MKKS
