Drugs worth over K530 mln seized in southern Shan State

A total of over 1.7 million stimulant tablets worth over K530 million was seized in Kunhing Township of Shan State (South), it is learnt.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a Toyota HiAce car driven by Sai Sang Han accompanied by Sai Noi heading from Karli to Mongpyin on the Taunggyi-Tachilek Road at the Takaw Bridge combined checkpoint of Kunhing township at 6 pm on 9 November, according to information. A total of 1.77 million stimulant tablets worth over K530 million were found in the car.
According to interrogation results, stimulant tablets were transported from Kunhing township to Tachilek township. Legal action is taken against them and the Myanmar Police Force is trying to expose those connected with the offenders. — MNA
