Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee holds second-day session of 11th plenary meeting

The second-day session of the eleventh plenary meeting of the eighth 47-member SSMNC is in progress.

The second-day session of the eleventh plenary meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was organized in the Maha Pasana Cave on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.
The meeting was attended by members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Chairman Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, the director-general of the Religious Affairs Department and other officials of departments concerned.
Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa presided over the meeting and Joint Secretary Sayadaw Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Sandavamsa Lankara Bhivamsa acted as the master of ceremonies.
At the meeting, Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Kovida reported on Vinicchaya while Sasana Dhaja Dhamma Cariya Bhaddanta Sanda on religious affairs and Agga Maha Pandita Dhamma kahtika Bhahujanahitadhara Bhaddanta Pannasiha Bhivamsa on educational matters conducted during the term of eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).
Then, the Sayadaws made decisions on Vinicchaya and religious affairs and concluded the event.
During the second session, the Sayadaws discussed and made decisions regarding Vinicchaya, and religious and educational matters.
Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Candavara Bhivamsa reported on Vinicchaya while Agga Maha Pandita Bhaddanta Ottara on religious affairs and Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Acara on education matters conducted during the fourth term of eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).
Then, the Joint Secretary Agga Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita Bhaddanta Sandavamsa Lankara Bhivamsa sought approvals for reports of the eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (second subcommittee).
Afterwards, all the Sayadaws recited Gathas and Sadhu three times and successfully concluded the eleventh plenary meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee.
The disciples of Presiding Sayadaw Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Manita of Kyaikkasan Wailuwun (Shwegyin) in Thingangyun Township offer alms offering (day meal) for the whole day for their 33rd times.
Similarly, Shwe Than Lwin Company Patron Agga Maha Thiri Thudamma Theingi Dr Daw Ni Ni (Shwe Than Lwin Family) donated K200,000 each and offertories to all Sayadaws respectively. —MNA
