Enhance friendly relations between Myanmar and Cambodia

Everybody cannot live alone in and out the society. Likewise, any country cannot stand alone through the international community. As such, societies are formed with individuals and groups of humans. Similarly, the international community is constituted of small and large countries.
Myanmar is located in the Southeast Asian region, close to South Asia. Its location is strategic, sharing borders with two bid power countries in addition to Southeast Asian countries. Despite various forms of geographical conditions, Myanmar enhances diplomatic relations with neighbouring countries, regional countries, Mekong basin countries and other global countries amicably.
In the early days of January 2022, Prime Minister of Cambodia Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen paid a working visit to Myanmar. The goodwill visit of the Cambodian Prime Minister would strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries. It is a fine result for the peoples from both countries.
Cambodia pledged full support to Myanmar in implementing the five-point consensus under the ASEAN Charter. The Cambodian Prime Minister also emphasized that implementation of the five-point consensus should be complementary in the realization of the five-point roadmap of the State Administration Council.
Both countries have been amicable for many years. Not only leaders of the countries but the peoples friendly exchange their visits many times. Cambodian hospitality host the Myanmar citizens who arrive in Cambodia for various reasons. As now is the time of preventing and controlling the infection of COVID-19, Cambodian authorities provide vaccinations to Myanmar citizens in their land similar to its citizens. Hence, Myanmar must show off hospitality to Cambodian citizens arriving in Myanmar with various aids.
Buddhism is a common religion between Myanmar and Cambodia. Hundreds of Buddhist monks and nuns from Cambodia are pursuing Buddhism literature at the missionary university in Myanmar to widen their scopes of Buddhism so as to share knowledge with their natives. As those Cambodian members of the Sangha are friends of Myanmar’s Buddhist monks, the formers have the chance to learn the Pariyatti works of literature. It is the strong and firm ties between both countries.
The working visit of the Cambodian Prime Minister would be a drive for accelerating the bilateral trade sector, education, defence and peace measures. Cambodia’s Win-Win Policy success in achieving national reconciliation, lasting peace, stability, development and prosperity is sure to benefit Myanmar on its future path.
