EuroCham Myanmar raises delay concern in import licence processing

A delegation led by CEO Ms Karina Ufert of the European Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar discussed the delay in import licensing with officials of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) during the meeting held at the UMFCCI office on 6 November.
EuroCham Myanmar listed companies elaborated on main challenges such as banking, vegetable seeds, delays in the licence processing for the importation of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, transport hurdles and electricity outages.
UMFCCI President U Aye Win gave a remark that the UMFCCI will forward those cases to the ministries and committees concerned to strengthen the cooperation with EuroCham Myanmar and tackle the changing economic challenges. — TWA/EM
