The antibiotic residue and virus testing laboratory of the Department of Fisheries is responsible for inspecting antibiotic residue and viruses and issuing certifications.
The antibiotic residue and virus testing laboratory, part of the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department under the Department of Fisheries in Thakayta Township, Yangon Region, has received international official laboratory certification (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) for the fifth time.
It conducts activities related to antibiotic residue and virus testing as well as certification. These activities align with the National Residue Monitoring Plan (NRMP) for Myanmar’s livestock and fishery products, ensuring that there are no infectious diseases or chemical residues in products exported abroad. — TWA/CT
