Fixtures for ASEAN youth tourneys confirmed

The dates of the ASEAN U-19 Championship and ASEAN U-16 Championship, in which Myanmar teams will compete, have been confirmed.
Indonesia will host both of these tournaments, and the ASEAN U-16 Championship will be held from 21 June to 4 July. The ASEAN U-19 Championship will be held from 17 to 31 July, the ASEAN Football Federation confirmed.
The two competitions were scheduled to be held earlier than the current date but were postponed. The ASEAN Football Federation will soon have the group draw for these two tournaments.
U Aung Naing is handling the Myanmar U-19 team as the head coach, and more than 30 preliminary players are training in the camp. The Myanmar U-19 team has been preparing for international competitions since the beginning of this year and played warm-up matches against local clubs in March.
As for the Myanmar U-16 national team, the head coach is Mitami Chiyu from Japan, and the preliminary roster will be confirmed soon. Both the Myanmar U-16 and U-19 national teams will also compete in the Asian Cup qualifiers this year in addition to the ASEAN tournament. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
