The tankers bringing ordered fuel from abroad regularly enter the Thilawa Port area of the Yangon Region as planned to fill the storage tanks with fuel. Subsequently, the fuel is distributed to states and regions, including Yangon Region.
On 29 February 2024, a total of more than 1,200,000 gallons of 92 Ron, 400,000 gallons of 95 Ron, over 900,000 gallons of diesel, and more than 1,200,000 gallons of premium diesel fuel were filled by 1,175 bowsers.
Therefore, sufficient fuel is stored in the storage tanks at the Thilawa Port area, and distribution is being carried out according to the daily schedule. Consequently, the public need not worry about fuel shortages due to rumours, and they can be assured that they only need to purchase the usual amount of fuel without stocking up. — MNA/TRKM
