Forest Dept seizes illegal timbers in Nay Pyi Taw, regions/states

The Forest Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation adopts the Community Monitoring and Reporting System (CMRS) to curb the illegal timber and forest products.
According to the data collected between 7 and 13 March, the department seized a total of 287.5538 tonnes of illegal timbers — 38.5142 tonnes of teak, 51.0308 tonnes of hardwood and 198.0088 tonnes of others in regions/states and Nay Pyi Taw and arrested 31 suspects with 24 vehicles, the department stated. — MNA
