Further research must be done for manufacturing high-tech vehicles meeting international standards: Senior General

Quality vehicles must be distributed to regions and states, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday afternoon in inspection of the Tatmadaw Heavy Industry in Mayangon Township of Yangon Region.
Lt-Gen Kan Myint Than and Maj-Gen Ko Ko Lwin of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) reported to the Senior General on brief history of the industry and functioning process, manufacturing of automobiles and related accessories in accord with the guidance of the Senior General, research process and modernizing the industry.
In his response to the reports, the Senior General stressed the need to manufacture a large number of quality automobiles such as oil bowsers, water tankers, garbage vans, sprayers and fire trucks not only for the Tatmadaw but for the municipal tasks and firefighting tasks. Quality vehicles must be distributed to regions and states. Further research must be done for manufacturing the high-tech vehicles meeting the international standards.
The Senior General inspected assembling process of automobiles in the industry with the use of modern machinery and presented cash award to the employees. The Senior General also viewed fire trust, water tanker, sprayer and oil bowser manufactured by the industry.
The industry is producing 2,000-gallon and 2,200-gallon fire trucks, water tankers, oil bowsers, garbage vans, sprayers and auto parts such as jeep fames, bolts and nuts.—MNA
