Government-related printing management committee holds coordination meeting

The government-related printing management committee organized a coordination meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday to offer work at the state-owned printing houses using the State budget systematically.
First, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, in his capacity as chairman of the committee, highlighted the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council to the Ministry of Information and the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warefare to print the books that use the budget and to offer jobs to the private printing houses only when the workload is heavy.
He continued that the ministries, therefore, are informed to get printing services at the Myawady Book Store of the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare, Printing and Publishing Department and News and Periodicals Enterprise of the Ministry of Information and KabarAye printing house of the Religious Affairs Department. They should make printing except these sites only when they are in a critical situation.
He also talked about the formation of a committee with the permission of the SAC and pledged that the committee would manage capacity and demand. He urged the ministries to understand and be united as they carry out government policy.
Then, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, vice-chairman of the committee, discussed the current printing services, ongoing work plans, estimated work plans of departments concerned and printing capacity.
Then, attendees coordinated the discussion, and the Union minister concluded the meeting. — MNA/KTZH
