Handover ceremony of donations made by Chinese Venerable Qianze takes place in Nay Pyi Taw

The handover event of donation by Venerable Qianze of the Qixia Temple in progress yesterday.

Venerable Qianze of the Qixia Temple in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People’s Republic of China, has made donations for student monks and nuns at Buddhist learning centres and students in monastic schools in Myanmar. The ceremony of handing over the donation to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture was held at the MoRAC Union Minister’s parlour in Nay Pyi Taw, at 10 am yesterday.
First, Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo Htut of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained the purpose of Venerable Qianze of Qixia Temple donating 8,000 yuan to student monks and nuns at Buddhist learning centres and students in monastic schools in Myanmar.
Then, MoRAC Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan clarified monastic schools under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture. Finally, the deputy minister accepted the donation transferred by MoFA Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo Htut on behalf of Venerable Qianze and returned the certificate of honour. — MNA/CT
