Homemade mine explodes while planting mine in Botahtaung township

A man was injured in an explosion while planting a homemade mine on 11 May in Botahtaung Township in Yangon.
The incident happened at 6:10 pm in the ward (8), Botahtaung Township and the man was found lying down near Moe Kaung bakery with wounds on his left eye, fingers and right leg.
Members of the security forces took him to the local Tatmadaw hospital for medical treatment.
He will be prosecuted according to the law.
While searching his house, two keypad phones, two pairs of triple batteries, two six-inch-long steel pipes used to install homemade mines were found and confiscated. —MNA
