Hybrid Seminar held for innovative products practices, food processing

The opening ceremony of the Hybrid Seminar on Innovative Products Practices for Food Processing in Myanmar was held at M Gallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw at 9 am yesterday.
Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Permanent Secretary Dr Wah Wah Maung said that by implementing this project, food businesses will be able to improve food safety, security, production and packaging. The Permanent Secretary said he would gain experience in marketing and servicing innovation ideas and create good conditions for local products to be exported to the ASEAN region.
Then, she explained the status of the ASEAN Secretariat. She explained the conditions that can greatly contribute to the development of small and medium enterprises by implementing the project, small and medium enterprises in ASEAN countries. The Hybrid Seminar is being held on 27 and 28 January. MSME entrepreneurs from Nay Pyi Taw and regions and states, officials from the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection attended the event and representatives from Hong Kong and China attended virtually.
The seminar aimed to expand the network of business partners from 11 countries for the development of the food industry in the ASEAN-Hong Kong (China) region. Myanmar entrepreneurs will be able to gain innovative knowledge and experience in the food industry. More and more strategies are being developed based on foreign investment and imports. With the aim of manufacturing products for foreign markets as per the international norms, innovation idea and design thinking, the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection under the Ministry of Industry is implementing the “Innovative Products Practices for Food Processing in Myanmar” project with the ASEAN-Hong Kong (China) Free Trade Area fund. — MNA
