IDPs in Namtu receive Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines

COVID-19 Prevention and Control Committee in Namtu Township, Kyaukme District, Shan State (North) is giving COVID-19 vaccines to local people according to priority.
At 8:30 am yesterday, people under the age of 18 were given the first dose of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines IDP camps.
U Win Min Tun, chairman of the COVID-19 disease prevention and control committee in the township, township police chief Kyaw Zaw Aung, Township Information and Public Relations Department Officer Daw Khaing Zar Tun, Township Immigration and Population Department Officer U Sai Tun Hla, Township Fire Department Officer U Wunna Tun Aye, in-charge of Township Disaster Management Department Daw Myat Thu Hnin, Superintendent of Township People’s Hospital Dr Aung Lwin, and health workers assisted in the vaccination programme.
A total of 117 people aged 18 and over in Kachin (IDP), Kyusaw (IDP) and Lisu (IDP) camps in Namtu Township have been vaccinated against Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines.
The remaining people aged 18 and over will be vaccinated in the coming days, said an official from the township People’s Hospital.
To date, 117 people aged 18 and above have been vaccinated for the first time in Namtu Township.
A total of 3,961 local people in the township were vaccinated twice and 637 people who have been vaccinated for the first time.
A total of 836 students have been received the first dose of vaccines, with 1,473 vaccinated in total, according to an official from the township virus control committee. — Lu Maw (IPRD)/GNLM
