ONE Championship former featherweight and lightweight Champion Martin Nguyen, who is also a best friend of ONE star Aung La N Sang has said that he will be back with all of his strength to occupy his titles again, according to an interview with the ONE Championship.
“Through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. I have the best FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FANS SUPPORT any human can ever ask for. Thank you everyone for reaching out. I’ll be back stronger than ever,” Martin Nguyen said. Martin Nguen came into the martial arts world at the age of 21 in a bid to pick up a new hobby and discovered a life-changing experience.
“Martin has never looked back, winning two amateur mixed martial arts tournaments before deciding to make his professional debut in 2012. He quickly took the featherweight division by storm, winning an eight-man tournament to be crowned Australia’s BRACE Featherweight Champion. After that achievement, Nguyen signed for ONE Championship in 2014,” ONE Championship officials said.
Six stunning finishes later, Martin stood as the first-ever two-division titleholder in ONE Championship history, having knocked out both Marat Gafurov and Eduard Folayang to stand as the very best featherweight and lightweight martial artist in ONE Championship history.
Currently, Martin is taking his special training together with Myanmar sports icon Aung La N Sang in a training camp in the USA. — GNLM
