Imposters, fraudsters pry into customers’ data on mobile phone

The local private banks released statements on their Facebook pages as the swindlers ask for the data of customers from mobile phones by pretending as bank staff.
The statement of KBZ bank said their bank staff will never ask for the user’s mBanking password and OTP (one-time password) code. If they find some suspected cases, the customers can contact their nearest banks and 24/7 call centre via 09 951018555 and 8555.
Similarly, AYA Bank announced that there might be fraudsters who will steal personal data using various ways online/offline. Therefore, customers should keep their bank cards, PIN, account number, username, passwords, OTP, iBanking and mBanking and should not share these numbers with others. The customers should contact the call centre at 01 2317777 or the nearest banks for any loss of cards, passbooks and cheques. – TWA/KTZH
